This website represents the views of Hampshire Retained Fire Fighters Union
The majority of our work is taken up with attending meetings. These meetings are either called by ourselves or we have been invited along to represent the opinions of our members and indeed all retained firefighters.
It is not unusual to have to highlight the unique ways in which Retained Duty System Firefighters exist within Hampshire Fire and Rescue. In addition, the fact that they all only at work on drill nights and call outs exacerbates the issues of communication and information dissemination.
