Driver dies in fire engine crash
The driver of a car was killed when it was in collision with a fire engine answering an emergency in East Sussex.
A firefighter was injured in the crash which happened near Hailsham on the A271 just before 2000 GMT on Sunday.

The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene while the firefighter was taken to hospital in Eastbourne.

An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the appliance was heading for a "confirmed fire" when the crash happened.

Formal identification of the man, who was driving a red Ford Fiesta, has not yet taken place.

Officers from Sussex Police's Road Policing Investigation Unit are carrying out the investigation into what happened.

A spokesman said they were keen to hear from anyone with information about the incident, which happened at Magham Down.
