The main thrust of HFRS demoting RDS Subs to Watch Manager A's was based on lack of evidence. This is amusing as surely the employer should know what its employee is doing - not expect them to provide proof of their role within the organisation?
So without any further ado, HRFU would like to help the Rank To Role board and provide them with just a small example of the amazing roles undertaken throughout Hampshire, by their RDS staff who they don't seem to understand and cannot be bothered to properly research.
Examples
- Attendances at church fete's, community groups and village fairs, presenting the HFRS core roles.
- M3 Motorway
- Waterloo main railway line
- National and Local airports
- RAF helicopter training base
- Oilwells
- Large rural hotel complexes
- Private hospitals
- Residential Homes
- Home for mentally handicapped
- Liaison on Arson reduction with local Police
- Liaison with Forestry commission and other agencies on arson reduction
- Stately Homes
- Thatched cottages
- Major trunk roads
- Schools
- Military Port
- Commercial ports
- Southampton Water
- Supply and distribution Railway servicing Fawley
- The deepest vertical shaft in Hampshire
- Crude Oil Pumping Sites
- Major oil pipework distribution points
- Largest technological college on Hampshire
- Largest Brewery in Hampshire
- Miltary Establishments with TOP level security
For now this will do, but considering the fact that RDS Subs undertake a weeks work in a night, provide cover in some of the most dangerous areas of Hampshire, with less support and resources than their Wholetime colleagues - how can anyone in their right mind advise they role is less? |
